I wrote this piece when I lived in the USA back then. I went to a concert of Hungarian Gypsies and they fascinated me. Through them I developed my interest in Europe. Shortly after I actually decided to leave the States and go to Europe.

Chie Ishii is a pianist, a composer, an author of music books and a bassist. She was born in Tokyo, Japan. She started playing the piano at the age of four. Her first public performance was at the age of six. She studied Piano Performance at a.o. Berklee College of Music in Boston. She won several piano competitions.
